One Month Old! April 4, 2011

At one month old Brodie is taking 4 oz. each feeding with the exception of when he takes more before bedtime. Usually his last bottle is around 10 p.m. or so, and then he wakes up for another bottle no earlier than 4 a.m! At his 2 week check up he weighed 8lbs and measured 20 1/2 inches long. Not for sure what he weighs in at now, his next doctor's appointment is May 4th. He is an awesome trooper when we go out places, and usually the only time he gets fussy is when you are a little late at fixing his bottle! I came back to work April 18th :(, I hated leaving him but his MiMi is taking care of him during the day while I work so I know he is being well taken care of! Ben has adjusted very well at not being the only one in the house to get attention and he seems really protective of Brodie!

The Big Day Finally Arrived!!

Well my due date came and went, with no sign that Brodie wanted to make his arrival! So after two doctor's appointments in two days, we were given the good news that they were going to induce! The plan was to start my induction around 8:00 p.m. that night, so after checking into labor & delivery and the hubby picking up Outback for supper, my water decided to break on it's own around 7:00. So they decided to see what my body would do on it's own, and wait and start the pitocin at 5:00 a.m. the next morning. I was given my epidural at 6:45 a.m. when I was 2 cm. After a long morning... at 12:30 p.m. I was told that my body was not progressing and I was going to be having a C-section. At 1:04p.m. Jacob Brodie Sanderson arrived at 6 lbs 13 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Dr. Cary Crowe was the doctor that delivered him, seeing how my doctor was not on-call that day.
